How is EP calculated in RNGdle?
In RNGdle, each possible whole number from 0 through 1,000,000 is equally likely, so a number’s visual pattern does not change the chance of drawing that exact number. The official description says rolls earn badges for number properties, rarer badges are worth more EP, and overall rarity compares a roll’s total EP with all possible rolls. It does not publish the complete scoring formula or a full machine-readable rulebook.
This calculator therefore makes a deliberately limited estimate. It checks ten transparent traits: palindrome, all-identical digits, any repeated digit, prime, perfect square, perfect cube, divisibility by seven, exact digit sum, a three-digit ascending run, and the substring 420. For each trait, it estimates rarity by counting how many of the 1,000,001 possible numbers match that definition. For a matched trait, the model adds 100 divided by that trait’s probability. It also uses the exact digit-sum frequency for the entered number. The displayed EP range applies a 25% margin around that model score to signal uncertainty; it is not a statistical confidence interval or official score range.
The tier is assigned from the model score using percentile-style cutoffs for this calculator’s own exhaustive trait model. Traits can overlap, such as a repdigit also being a palindrome, and the simplified model may count related signals separately. It omits most game badges and any undisclosed family, bonus, cap, or tie-breaking rules. Treat the result as an educational comparison between patterns, not a prediction of the game’s exact EP, leaderboard rank, or future roll.
The official public rule summary describes badges, EP, and rarity, but does not provide the complete scoring equation.
What counts as a rare number?
The odds below are exact counts for this page’s stated pattern definitions across all 1,000,001 possible integers. They describe how often a pattern occurs in a uniform draw, not the official badge catalog.
| Trait checked | Definition | Theoretical odds |
|---|---|---|
| Palindrome | Decimal digits read the same backward. | 1,999 / 1,000,001 · 0.1999% |
| All identical digits | Every digit is the same; single-digit numbers count. | 55 / 1,000,001 · 0.0055% |
| Repeated digit | At least one digit appears more than once. | 831,430 / 1,000,001 · 83.1429% |
| Prime | A prime integer greater than 1. | 78,498 / 1,000,001 · 7.8498% |
| Perfect square | An integer square, including 0 and 1. | 1,001 / 1,000,001 · 0.1001% |
| Perfect cube | An integer cube, including 0 and 1. | 101 / 1,000,001 · 0.0101% |
| Divisible by 7 | Remainder is zero when divided by 7. | 142,858 / 1,000,001 · 14.2858% |
| Exact digit sum | Sum of decimal digits equals this number’s digit sum. | Varies by sum: about 1 in 18 to 1 in 1,000,001 |
| Ascending run | Contains adjacent digits such as 1, 2, 3 in order. | 28,848 / 1,000,001 · 2.8848% |
| Contains “420” | Decimal representation contains the substring 420. | 3,999 / 1,000,001 · 0.3999% |
Patterns may overlap. For example, an all-identical number can also be a palindrome.
RNGdle EP Calculator FAQ: Accuracy, Rare Numbers & Badges
What is EP in RNGdle?
EP stands for Entropy Points. RNGdle awards EP for number properties recognized by its badges; this page estimates a score from a smaller, clearly listed set of traits.
Is this EP calculator accurate?
It calculates the listed pattern checks and their probabilities exactly over the stated number range. Its EP values and tier are estimates because the complete official scoring formula and badge interactions are not published here.
What is the rarest number in RNGdle?
Every individual number from 0 to 1,000,000 has the same chance of being drawn in a uniform roll. Some numbers match more rare patterns, but this estimator cannot identify an official highest-EP number without the full scoring rules.
How are badges related to EP?
Badges recognize number properties, and public RNGdle information says rarer badges are worth more EP. This calculator reports sample pattern matches as traits; it does not reproduce every badge, badge family, or official point value.
